Palestinian Wedding - Henna Night
"Henna Night in villages is the most important night for the bride, it precedes the wedding night by a day or two. Its an old Palestinian custom in which relatives and friends of the bride gather to celebrate her, say goodbye to her as it's her last night in her father's house and sing sad folk songs called (Al-Tarwida), which depicts the bride clings to her family and friends. In this night, many brides wear the traditional costume, which is, according to the Palestinian heritage, the embroidered Palestinian dress. These pictures show joy and celebration moments of the bride that starts from preparing her for this night to the moments of bringing the candles-decorated henna that represent a Palestinian tradition and the final moments of celebrations full of dancing and singing.
